By Breaking Belize News Staff: A heated sibling dispute has led to criminal charges, with a Belize City man now facing the court for allegedly harming his sister.

The accused is 26-year-old Allen Gerson Castillo, a call center agent of Jane Usher Boulevard. He appeared unrepresented before Magistrate Ludlow Black in Court #7 on Tuesday, where he was read a single charge of harm.

Police say that on July 10, 2025, Castillo intentionally caused harm to his sister during an altercation in Belize City.

Castillo pleaded not guilty to the charge. With no objection from the prosecution, Magistrate Black granted him bail in the sum of $2,500, plus two sureties of $1,250 each.

As part of his bail conditions, Castillo is prohibited from contacting his sister, her family members, or any prosecution witnesses. He must also stay at least 25 feet away from her and refrain from any form of communication through social media.

His next court date has not yet been announced.
