By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police have detained a 37-year-old man following a report that he stole personal items from his younger sister’s bedroom.
An 18-year-old resident of Otro Benque Road told police that around 7:00 p.m. on February 23, 2026, she saw her brother inside her room holding a black bag.
When she questioned him, he reportedly claimed he was “doing nothing.” She then chased him out of the room, and he left without resistance.
Suspicious due to his alleged habit of consuming alcohol and selling items that do not belong to him, she checked her belongings and discovered several items missing.
Reported stolen were one black glazy high heel valued at $86 BZD and a set of three perfumes valued at $35 BZD, totaling $121 BZD.
Police detained the suspect in connection with the report. The items have not been recovered, and investigations are ongoing.
