By Aaron Humes: Police have initiated an investigation following the sudden death of a British national on Tuesday. Eric Leonard Storey, 52, was discovered unconscious near the Casa Vista Hotel, where he had checked in just a day prior.
Witnesses report hearing a loud thud before finding Storey motionless on the ground. He was swiftly transported to the Caye Caulker Health Clinic, but despite doctors’ efforts, he passed away later Tuesday evening.
The circumstances surrounding Storey’s injuries remain unclear, and officials are working diligently to piece together the events leading to his untimely demise. ASP Stacy Smith stated, “No information has been ascertained in relation to that. It’s an ongoing investigation.”
As police continue to investigate, they have yet to confirm how Storey sustained his injuries or how long he had been in Belize before the incident.
