During the training, BATSUB Range Control instructors taught the BMFT rangers a range of skills, including map fundamentals, bearings and navigation across difficult terrain.
The sessions also focused on assessing incident sites by identifying key characteristics and gathering information from the surrounding environment.
The training also explored factors that influence tracking and how to determine the age and relevance of signs left in the jungle.
BATSUB said the collaboration provided a valuable opportunity for participants to enhance their knowledge and skills while strengthening cooperation with local agencies.
