By Horace Palacio: A shooting incident on Iguana Street in Belize City earlier today has left three people injured — a woman, a man, and a child.
Initial reports indicate that two gunmen on a motorcycle approached the area and opened fire, hitting all three victims before fleeing the scene. Officials transported the injured individuals to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH) for treatment.
Among the injured is a woman believed to have been shot in the stomach, a man with wounds to his hand and foot, and a child who was shot in the foot.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident. No arrests have been made as yet, and the motive remains unknown.
