By Aaron Humes: A shooting incident has been reported in Majestic Alley, Belize City tonight, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Dane Gillett and injuries to at least two others, including a child.
According to initial reports, shots were fired just after 8:30 p.m.
Gillett, who recently walked free from a murder charge in the death of Dwayne Gabourel, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and succumbed to his injuries.
In addition to Gillett, sources indicate that a child and another man were also injured during the incident. Their current condition remains undisclosed as they are being treated at Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH).
Police have launched an investigation into the shooting, but preliminary details surrounding the motive and the identity of any potential suspects are still unclear.
