By Breaking Belize News Staff: Just around 5:45 p.m. today, 2 armed assailants entered Anna’s Supermarket in Santa Elena and held up the cashier.
The armed thieves then escaped, but according to police sources the owner of the store reportedly pulled out his weapon and fired shots at them.
Zeldon Thompson, 21, of Esperanza, Cayo District sustained gunshot wounds to his ribcage and right knee.
He died shortly after.
