By Aaron Humes: Honduras’ Luis Lopez has won the 94th Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic after outlasting a star-studded group of eight.
The first Belizean across the line is Carlton Robinson of Team Alliance in fourth, followed by Joslyn Chavarria Jr.
A series of attacks on the George Price Highway was matched almost one for one by Robinson until he was finally dropped by the lead group of Lopez, Abner Maxwell of the United States and Team Skyline Cadence and Guatemalan Ronnie Hulahoo. Hulahoo finished second and Maxwell third.
