By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A social media post by Belizean political figure Charles B. Leslie Jr. is generating widespread attention after he claimed he discovered a disturbing object inside a sandwich purchased in Dangriga.
According to Leslie, he was eating a six-inch garlic bread sub from a business in Dangriga when he suddenly bit into something hard.
“So I’m eating a sub sandwich from Quality in Dangriga. I bite into this. Almost broke my tooth,” Leslie wrote on Facebook.
The post included photographs of the object, which appears to be some type of hard foreign material. Leslie said he had ordered a standard sub sandwich with three meats, two cheeses, vegetables, mayonnaise and mustard.
He added that he has no idea whether the object was hidden in the bread or elsewhere in the sandwich.
The images quickly began circulating on social media, prompting reactions from Belizeans expressing concern about food safety and quality control standards.
At this stage, the exact nature of the object remains unclear and there has been no official statement from the business regarding the incident.
The viral post has nevertheless sparked conversation about food preparation practices and the importance of ensuring customers receive safe products.
