By Aaron Humes: A bomb threat at the Belize City Magistrate Court caused significant disruption this morning, halting proceedings as authorities work to ensure the safety of all attendees. Reports indicate that the threat coincides with the expected arraignment of a known gang figure.

The court, located on Coney Drive, was swiftly evacuated as a precautionary measure following the alarming reports. Security personnel on-site, along with local law enforcement, are awaiting clearance from bomb disposal experts before any further action can be taken or the court can resume its schedule.

Officials have not yet confirmed the details surrounding the threat or the individual involved in the pending arraignment.

Investigators are asking the public to remain calm and avoid the vicinity of the courthouse while investigations are ongoing.
