After clinching their respective conference titles—the Toucan Cup and the Mayan Cup—the Tiger Sharks and Ballaz now enter a best-of-three series with everything on the line. Game 1 sets the tone for what promises to be a war between Belize’s most dynamic squads.

San Pedro arrives unbeaten in the playoffs, having swept the Dangriga Dream Ballers in dramatic fashion. Jihad Wright and Francis Arana have been the backbone of the Tiger Sharks’ campaign, combining leadership, athleticism, and clutch execution. Wright’s near triple-double in Game 1 and Arana’s late-game composure in Game 2 were pivotal in sealing their finals berth.

The Western Ballaz earned their spot with grit and late-game brilliance. Arik Nicholas’ game-winning layup in Game 3 of the Mayan Cup Finals—just 6.3 seconds from the buzzer—was the exclamation point on a 28-point, 13-rebound performance.
