By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): The Belize Government Lotteries Ltd. (BGLL) has reported a record-breaking $245 million in Boledo sales over two years, cementing its place as one of Belize’s most successful public enterprises.
Managing Director Janel Espat said the strong performance demonstrates the Boledo’s lasting appeal among Belizeans and the company’s success in modernizing how people play.
“In our first year, we saw $108 million in sales, and this year, we’re expecting $137 million,” Espat explained. “That brings us to a total of $245 million in just two years.”
The surge in sales has also fueled national development. BGLL has already contributed $22 million to the government’s National Health Insurance (NHI) fund, a direct benefit from Belizeans’ love for Boledo.
