By Breaking Belize News Staff: Divers from the emergency response team from Spanish Lookout found the body of the second victim who drowned in the Belize River near Iguana Creek. The first body was brought up earlier by divers from Blackman Eddy Village.
The drowning occurred just after 4:00 pm on Sunday. The two (2) male persons were swimming in the Belize River when the first victim went under the water apparently drowning. The second victim tried to help and both male persons ended up drowning.
Police and emergency personnel are removing the bodies from the scene. The bodies of the two (2) victims will be transported to the morgue.
