By Aaron Humes: The decomposed body of a missing man was discovered early this morning in the Caesar Ridge/Yabra Area. Around 8:00 a.m., a resident alerted authorities after noticing a strong, foul odor near the basketball court. Upon police investigation, the remains of a male were found lying face up in an open lot just across from the Wilton Cumberbatch Field along Caesar Ridge Road.
The deceased has been identified as Gilbert Conorquie, a 39-year-old resident of Rivero Street. His family confirmed the identification. Conorquie had been reported missing since Saturday and had not been in contact with his loved ones for several days prior to this morning’s discovery.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding his death. Those concerned are urged to come forward with any information that may assist police.
