By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Livestock Producers Association (BLPA) has announced that its 47th Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, bringing together cattle farmers and key stakeholders from across the country for one of the sector’s most important yearly gatherings.
The 47th BLPA AGM will be hosted at the BLPA Headquarters at Mile 47.5 on the George Price Highway. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00 am.
According to the BLPA, the AGM serves as a vital forum for members to review the BLPA’s work over the past year, assess progress in the livestock industry, and discuss the challenges and opportunities shaping the sector. The meeting will also include the election of Board Members, a process that ensures continued leadership and representation for Belize’s livestock community.
BLPA emphasized that strong participation from farmers is essential to maintaining a responsive and united industry. The Association noted that the AGM is designed to ensure that producers’ voices guide decision‑making and that policies reflect the realities faced on the ground.
The organization is encouraging all members to attend, stay informed, and actively contribute to discussions that influence both the industry’s development and the livelihoods of livestock producers nationwide.
