By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize Livestock Producers Association (BLPA) is inviting cattle farmers and industry stakeholders from across the country to attend its 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the BLPA Headquarters at Mile 47.5 on the George Price Highway. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.

The AGM serves as one of the most important yearly forums for the livestock sector, bringing together producers, technical partners, and institutional representatives to review the Association’s work over the past year and discuss the issues shaping the industry. According to the BLPA, the meeting will include updates on ongoing programs, sector performance, and national and regional market developments.

Members will also elect Board representatives, a key process that helps guide the Association’s priorities and ensure that leadership reflects the needs of producers throughout the country. The BLPA emphasized that participation is essential, noting that the AGM is where farmers’ voices directly influence decisions affecting the livestock industry’s future.

“We strongly encourage all members to attend, stay informed, and take part in the discussions that impact our industry and livelihoods,” the BLPA said.

For more information, the BLPA can be contacted at 675‑3883 or through its website at www.belizelivestock.org.
