By Aaron Humes: Police have arrested and charged two persons jointly for three counts of possession of controlled drugs with the intent to supply to another following a house search in rural Belize.
Today, Friday, October 3, police conducted a house search in Lords Bank Village. Present at the time were 27-year-old Andre Lewis Belisle, a Belizean office assistant, and 21-year-old Monica Olga Bowden, a Belizean call center agent. During the search, police discovered 1,125, 365, and 730 grams of cannabis in separate parcels in various parts of the house, amounting to a total combined weight of 2,220 grams or approximately 4.89 pounds.
They also found a licensed black Glock pistol along with 100 rounds of ammunition and $27,065, all of which were sealed and labeled as exhibits as police continue the investigation.
Belisle and Bowden have been charged with possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply another.
