BHSA Stingers edge EP Yorke 1–0 to reach NSSSA Girls National Final

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belize High School of Agriculture (BHSA) Stingers clinched the second spot in the 2025–26 NSSSA Girls National Football Championship with a tight 1–0 victory over EP Yorke High School this evening at the Marion Jones Sports Complex in Belize City.

The match remained close throughout, but the Stingers found the breakthrough they needed and held on to secure their place in Saturday’s 12:00 pm Girls Final, where they will face defending champions Georgetown Technical High School. EP Yorke move into Saturday’s 8:00 am third‑place match.

Earlier today, Georgetown Technical opened the tournament with a 2–1 win over Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School, earning the first spot in the girls’ final.

In the boys’ competition, Sacred Heart College defeated Julian Cho Technical High School 2–1 to advance to Saturday’s 2:00 pm Boys Final. Julian Cho will play for third at 10:00 am.

The final match of the day kicks off at 8:00 pm, with defending boys’ champions Gwen Lizarraga High School facing Orange Walk Technical High School for the remaining place in the boys’ final.

All placement matches — both finals and third‑place games — will be played on Saturday.
