By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 26-year-old mechanic from Lords Bank, Berth Ignatius Ramos Jr., is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being caught with an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. Ramos, a resident of Edwin Parks Avenue in Ladyville, appeared in Court #5 this morning to face charges of keeping a firearm and ammunition without a license.
Police allege that on Friday, October 4, 2024, Ramos was found in possession of a black Glock 9mm handgun loaded with 13 live rounds of 9mm ammunition at his residence. Ramos pleaded not guilty to the charges, but due to the serious nature of the offenses, bail was denied.
Ramos has been remanded to prison until his next court appearance, scheduled for December 6, 2024.
