By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The two game friendlies between Belize and Bermuda finished dead even as the higher-ranked Bermuda avenged a 2-0 loss with the same score in their second meeting on Sunday at the FFB Stadium in Belmopan.
Belize Women’s National Team (BWNT) Captain Sabrina Eiley scored twice on Thursday, but on Sunday, the BWNT went blank against the visitors, who put their game into overdrive to even the series
Jay Ratteray-Smith opened the scoring in the 12th minute for the visiting Lady Gombey Warriors. Victoria Davis sealed their victory in the 72nd minute.
Belize, who are preparing for the Concacaf League B championship, now turn their attention to two friendly matches against Cuba in Havana. The BWNT will face the Cuba Women’s National Team National Team at Estadio Pedro Marrero at 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 15, and at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 18.
