By Zoila Palma: The Benque Viejo Town Council is expressing heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped make this year’s Christmas party a resounding success.
Mayor Jorge Rosales extended special thanks to Prime Minister John Briceño for his generosity and dedication to the residents of Benque Viejo and Cayo West.
“We also appreciate Mayor Jorge Rodriguez from Melchor de Mencos for his assistance in securing the gifts for this event in a timely manner,” the council added. The council also recognized the support of the Immigration Department and the Customs Department for facilitating border processes, DJ Estevan for the sound system, Bismillah Store, the PUP Western Caucus, Hon. Oscar Mira, Hon. Julius Espat, Mr. Moises Cal, anonymous donors, and all Benque Viejo Councilors for their contributions.
Mayor Rosales concluded by extending warm wishes to all residents for a happy and prosperous New Year 2026.
