By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: On January 21, 2025, the Western Region of the Belize Police Department held a senior officers awards ceremony at the Kiki Witz Resort in Cayo District.
The event was attended by Commissioner of Police Chester Williams, Western Regional Commander Suzette Anderson, and other senior officers, including Deputy Commander Crispin Castillo.
During the ceremony, both Williams and Anderson commended the officers for their dedication and hard work in carrying out their duties.
They stressed the importance of motivating rank-and-file officers, with the recognition serving as an encouragement to continue striving for excellence.
The Benque Viejo Police Formation was particularly honored for its outstanding achievements in traffic and drunken driving enforcement, as well as its success in community policing initiatives.
