The Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) proudly announces the 6th Annual National Competitiveness Month, taking place throughout May 2024 under the inspiring theme “From Local Gems to Global Champions: Cultivating Belizean Competitiveness.” This initiative is designed to empower local businesses and entrepreneurs by equipping them with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the global marketplace.

The month-long celebration will kick off with a grand opening ceremony on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 9:00 AM at the Best Western Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel. The event will feature insightful panel discussions focused on exporter success stories, digital opportunities for export competitiveness, and fostering a competitive entrepreneurial mindset.

Throughout May, BELTRAIDE will offer a diverse range of activities, including:

• Seaweed Financing Webinar: Exploring innovative financing options for Belize’s seaweed cultivation sector.
• Digital Skills Training in Hopkins Village: Enhancing the digital capabilities of local tourism businesses and entrepreneurs.
• Green Entrepreneurship Training: Promoting sustainable business practices and green technology innovation across Belize City, Sarteneja Village, Punta Gorda, and Belmopan.
• Career Accelerator Training: Equipping Belize’s workforce with the skills necessary to excel in today’s dynamic job market.
