BELTRAIDE and Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association empower coastal entrepreneurs through sustainable livelihoods training

The Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) and the Turneffe Atoll Sustainability Association (TASA) are proud to announce the successful completion of a two-day Entrepreneurial Development Training, held on April 18 and 19.

This impactful initiative was executed under the project, “Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Resources in Turneffe Atoll Marine Reserve (TAMR), Belize,” made possible with generous funding from the MAR Fund.

The training program welcomed a dedicated group of business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs from three key coastal communities: Chunox Village, Copper Bank Village and Sarteneja Village.

Over the course of the two-day workshop, participants engaged in comprehensive capacity-building sessions. The curriculum was specifically designed to equip local innovators with the knowledge and tools required to successfully start, formalize, and grow their businesses within Belize’s evolving economic landscape.

BELTRAIDE and TASA proudly celebrate the 14 graduates who successfully completed the Entrepreneurial Development Training. These individuals are now better equipped with the strategic business acumen needed to pursue and expand sustainable economic opportunities within their respective communities.

This collaborative training reflects the shared vision and commitment of both BELTRAIDE and TASA to foster community-driven economic growth. By building resilient livelihoods and promoting local entrepreneurship, the initiative directly supports the sustainable use and long-term conservation of Belize’s precious marine resources.
