Belmopan’s Western Regional Hospital
By Aaron Humes: The former Belmopan Hospital, now known as the Western Regional Hospital (WRH), will be closed when the University Hospital opens, according to the Ministry of Health and Wellness Kevin Bernard.
Despite recent upgrades to the Western Regional Hospital, the University Hospital is being groomed as the replacement and tertiary-level hospital for the West and South. As a result, the WRH will be retired, which informed the Ministry’s decision regarding the location.
