By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police are investigating a report of damage to property after a Belmopan businessman discovered that all four tires of his Toyota Tacoma had been deliberately punctured.
The 28-year-old complainant reported that he had parked his red 2014 Toyota Tacoma at his girlfriend’s apartment on University Crescent on Thursday. When he attempted to leave around 7:00 p.m., he noticed the vehicle was not moving properly.
Upon inspecting the pickup, he discovered that all four Goodyear Wrangler tires had been punctured, apparently with a screwdriver or similar sharp object. The estimated damage is $2,400.
The man told police he suspects the incident may be connected to a dispute involving his girlfriend’s former boyfriend, who allegedly threatened him during a telephone conversation.
Police are investigating the complaint, and the man has requested court action.
