By Aaron Humes: In Belmopan, police have arrested and charged a man from the Maya Mopan area for stealing breadfruit from his neighbour’s tree.
The complainant reported that he was at home on Monday morning, around 10:30 a.m., when a man whom he had known for the past 7 years, namely Rene Bradley, jumped his fenced yard and stole eight breadfruits from his tree valued at $40.
Police quickly caught up with Bradley and arrested him for the theft.
