By Zoila Palma: The Belmopan City Council, in collaboration with The Belize Collection recently hosted the first-ever Mixologist & Chef Training, bringing together culinary and beverage enthusiasts from across Belmopan.
Mixologist Kyle Spencer, along with Copalli’s mixologist Revaldo Canelo, demonstrated innovative cocktail techniques, sharing insider tips while engaging participants in interactive sessions that sparked creativity behind the bar.
Copalli, an official sponsor of the Cultural & Culinary Fest, proudly provided the rum for the training—showcasing its unique Belizean flavor in every cocktail experience.
Chef Carlos Quinonez from Mexico guided attendees through the preparation of a signature dish, highlighting the cultural heritage behind its flavors while answering questions and demonstrating each step with precision.
“The event was more than a training—it was a celebration of flavor, technique, and Belizean hospitality. Representatives from restaurants and bars across Belmopan connected, shared ideas, and gained hands-on skills to elevate their craft and offer a better dining experience for their patrons,” the Belmopan City Council said.
The Belmopan City Council thanked Chef Carlos Quinonez, Mixologist Kyle Spencer, and Mixologist Revaldo Canelo for providing their time and expertise.
