Spearheaded by Councilor Lawrence Tush, this initiative reflects a deep commitment to enhancing educational opportunities within the community.
The project was a collaborative effort, with Mayor Pablo Cawich and all councilors contributing to its realization.
Their united dedication underscores the Council’s strong commitment to addressing the educational needs of students in Belmopan.
In a statement, the Belmopan City Council expressed heartfelt gratitude to the local donors and businesses whose contributions made the initiative possible.
Special thanks were given to Belmopan Aggregates Hardware, Brodies, Books & Office, and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for their generous support, which was crucial in bringing this project to fruition.
Councilor Lawrence Tush and the Belmopan City Council are optimistic about expanding the initiative next year. They hope to involve even more businesses and organizations to further support students in need.
The Council also extended their sincere appreciation to Ms. World Queen for her special role in distributing the backpacks. Her participation added a memorable and joyful element to the event, bringing smiles to many children and families.
