By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The Belmopan City Council has announced changes to the schedule for the official September Independence Day Ceremony and the Citizens Parade. The ceremony, originally set for 10:00 am, will now commence at 9:00 am.
Consequently, the Citizens Parade will begin one hour earlier at 11:00 am instead of 12:00 pm.
The Council kindly requests all parade participants to arrive by 9:00 am, an hour earlier than previously scheduled. This adjustment aims to ensure a smooth and timely procession.
Residents and participants are encouraged to take note of the new timings and make the necessary arrangements to be present for the celebrations. The updated schedule is as follows:
- Independence Day Ceremony: 9:00 am
- Citizens Parade: 11:00 am
