By Zoila Palma:  Today, Mayor of Belmopan City Council Pablo Cawich, Councilors, and the Belmopan City Council join Area Representative Oscar Mira in condemning the act of vandalism and theft of the lights at the football field next to UB.

“We do not support or tolerate any activity that damages public facilities or negatively affects our athletes and the wider community. Acts like these set our city back and undermine the efforts being made to improve recreational spaces for all,” the Belmopan City Council said.

The Belmopan City Council says that it stands united in protecting community assets and will support all efforts to ensure those responsible are held accountable.

“We also encourage residents to report any suspicious activity or information related to this incident via the City Connect Line on WhatsApp: 675-TELL (8355). Together, we can help protect and preserve our community spaces,” the council added.
