Building on Guatemala Success
Richardson’s triumph in Trinidad & Tobago builds on her strong performance at the XII Juegos Centroamericanos Guatemala 2025, where she competed in an open field against all age brackets. Facing seasoned swimmers from across Central America, she advanced to the women’s 400m freestyle final and placed fifth overall with a time of 4:45.86 — a seven‑second improvement from her qualifying swim.
Her finish placed her ahead of two Honduran swimmers and a Nicaraguan competitor, underscoring her ability to compete at the highest level. Costa Rica’s Nicole Centeno won gold, El Salvador’s Adriana Valle took silver, and Costa Rica’s Yuliana Ortiz claimed bronze, while Guatemalan swimmer Yanci Vanegas edged Richardson for fourth.
A Rising Star for Belize
With four golds, two silvers, and a bronze in Trinidad & Tobago, plus her breakthrough in Guatemala, Richardson has firmly established herself as one of Belize’s brightest sporting talents.
