Prime Minister John Briceno recently reflected on the significant contributions of former U.S. President Jimmy Carter to Belize.
He recalled how President Carter and Father of the Nation, George Price, worked together on election observation missions across the Americas, championing democracy in the region.
In 2023, President Carter’s daughter received the Order of Belize on behalf of her father, recognizing his enduring support for the region.
President Carter will be remembered as a staunch ally in Belize’s journey to independence.
