By Zoila Palma: Belize’s Ambassador to Taiwan, Dr. Candice Pitts, recently delivered an engaging presentation at Nanshan High School, introducing students and faculty to the rich history, culture, and natural heritage of Belize.
During her address, Ambassador Pitts highlighted Belize’s diverse population, national landmarks, and ongoing efforts in climate action, environmental protection, and sustainable development.
The session aimed to deepen students’ global awareness and promote cross-cultural understanding.
Following the presentation, Ambassador Pitts met with the school’s male basketball team, sharing words of encouragement and discussing her own experiences.
She also held a meeting with Nanshan High School officials to explore possibilities for academic exchange programs between Nanshan and high school students in Belize.
The visit reflects Belize’s continued commitment to strengthening people-to-people and educational ties with Taiwan.
