By Zoila Palma: Today, Belizeans around the country gathered at their respective municipalities to raise the Belizean flag on National Flag Day officially marking the beginning of the September celebrations.
This year’s September celebrations theme is 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲@𝟰𝟰: 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿, 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿!
On National Flag Day, Francis Fonseca, in his capacity as Minister of Culture and Chairman of the National Celebrations Commission, joined Mayor Bernard Wagner and the Belize City Council team in the Annual National Flag Day Flag Raising Ceremony in Belize City.
National Flag Day celebrates our nation’s iconic National Flag which represents our journey, our sovereignty, and the unity of our people.
The red, white, and blue stand as a reminder of the resilience, diversity, and pride that define us as Belizeans.
