Belizeans Carlton Robinson, Joslyn Chavarria, Jr. & company catch Miami Blazers American Cory Lockwood in 94th Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Alliance United’s Carlton Robinson and Santino’s Joslyn Chavarria, Jr.  company caught up with Miami Blazers American Cory Lockwood in 94^th Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic nearly at Mile 10.

The group includes Guatemalan Rony Julaju.

American Cory Lockwood of the Miami Blazers led the ever-changing 94th Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic closing up on Belize City near Mile 10 but couldn’t stay away. Momentarily he was left behind but he caught up back with the lead group.

Lockwood had led by 1 minute and 14 over the chase group comprising Alliance United’s Carlton Robinson, Santino’s Joslyn Chavarria, Jr., LL Team’s Honduran Luis Lopez, Skyline Cadence’s Americans Abner Maxwell and Clayton Travis, Quebexico’s Canadian Jean-Michel Lachance, and Primal-Audi Denver’s American Cyrus Pearo.

Earlier, G-Flow’s Jyven Gonzalez, Miami Blazers’ Cory Williams made a move at 10:30 am at Mile 25 on the George Price Highway but were at distance from Lockwood along with other riders including Honduran Luis Lopez.

2023 Champion Valvoline’s Oscar Quiroz made an attempt but didn’t make the cut to remain with the first chase group.
