By Breaking Belize News Staff: A Belizean transmigrante lost his life this morning in a tragic traffic accident along a slippery stretch of highway near Acayucan, Mexico.
The incident occurred between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. Belize time as he was en route to Belize.
Reports indicate that the driver was operating a Dodge Ram 3500 and towing a Ford F-350 pickup when the slippery road conditions caused the towed vehicle to become unstable.
The Ford reportedly began to “dance” behind the Dodge, causing the driver to lose control.
The pickup crashed, and the driver was flung from the cab onto the pavement, dying instantly at the scene.
Other Belizean drivers traveling the same route, who had departed the United States with him on Thursday, captured photos and videos of the aftermath as they passed the scene.
