By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belizean National Lightweight Champion, Amir Rudon, impressed with a first round TKO in San Pedro on Saturday night against Mexican boxer, Ruben Reyes on a fight card that included other exciting matches.
San Pedro hosted the event at the Rafael Angel Nunez Auditorium. The fight card also featured a match between San Pedro’s own Ivan Baez, who defeated Mexican Eduardo Lara to win the Super Featherweight championship title.
The main event featured Mexican fighters, Esneidy Rodriguez and Marisol Molina. The two fighters battled for the WBC Continental Latin Atomweight title. After 10 rounds of intense fighting, Rodriguez claimed the title.
The event was sponsored by the Belize Tourism Board.
