The Belize Women’s National Team (BWNT) wrapped up a two-match friendly series in Honduras with an unbeaten record, defeating CD Universidad 2-0 on Saturday and drawing 1-1 with CD Under on Friday. The matches, held at Estadio La Pradera and Estadio Patria Marathon in San Pedro Sula, form part of Belize’s final preparations for the 2025–26 CONCACAF W Qualifiers.
CD Under, reigning Honduran champions and widely considered the base of the Honduras Women’s National Team, provided a formidable test for Belize. After a goalless first half on Friday, Christian Girón opened the scoring for CD Under in the 61st minute. Belize responded with determination, and Jayda Brown equalized in the 75th minute, capitalizing on an offensive drive to slot home the tying goal.

On Saturday, Belize returned to the pitch with renewed confidence, defeating CD Universidad 2-0. Forward Alisha Terry netted both goals in the 8th and 58th minutes, with the second assisted by captain Sabrina Eiley of Sagitun Girlz FC. Terry’s finishing and Eiley’s midfield leadership anchored a composed and tactically disciplined performance.
The BWNT’s was seeking to improve cohesion and readiness ahead of Group D matchups against Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Suriname, and Anguilla. The qualifiers will unfold across three FIFA Women’s International Match Windows: November 2025, February 2026, and April 2026.
Belize’s 30-player roster features a blend of domestic talent and collegiate players based in the United States, representing Premier Women’s League of Belize clubs such as Napoles FC, Sagitun Girlz FC, Jewel Fury FC, and Corozal Elite FC. The team is led by Head Coach Wayne Casimiro and captained by veteran midfielder Sabrina Eiley.
