By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: Today, Belize proudly welcomed the Sun Princess, part of the Princess Cruises Line, as it made its inaugural visit to port in Belize City.
A commemorative ceremony took place on board, during which Lloyd Enriquez, Director of Cruise and Capacity Development, exchanged official plaques with Captain Paolo Arrigo.
The Sun Princess arrived with an impressive 3,862 passengers.
“This inaugural visit underscores Belize’s appeal as a premier destination and highlights the country’s commitment to enhancing its cruise tourism offerings, providing guests with memorable experiences, and enriching the local economy,” the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) said.
