By Zoila Palma: Today, Belize welcomed BermudAir following the airline’s inaugural flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the Philip Goldson International Airport (PGIA). The arrival marks a new air connection between South Florida and Belize, offering travelers another option for visiting the country.
The milestone was celebrated at PGIA, with the Belize Tourism Board (BTB) joining BermudAir in marking the launch of the new route.
The service is expected to provide greater convenience for travelers seeking to explore Belize’s tourism attractions, including its barrier reef, rainforests, Maya temples, and cultural experiences.
BermudAir will operate flights between Fort Lauderdale and Belize City every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The new service adds another connection between Belize and the United States, an important market for the country’s tourism industry.
The airline’s arrival was welcomed as another opportunity to strengthen Belize’s accessibility and support tourism growth.
