Belize Weather: The heat remains on

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Over the next 24 hours, according to the National Meteorological Service, skies will be mostly sunny with a few cloudy spells today. Tonight skies will be clear to partly cloudy. Little or no rainfall is expected.

Average high temperatures forecast today will be 91 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 102 degrees in inland areas, and 86 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 83 degrees along the coast, 77 degrees inland, and 70 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect as temperatures inland are expected to reach and exceed 97 degrees Fahrenheit. Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity as much as possible, especially during the afternoon hours.

Winds are easterly at ten to 20 knots, and seas choppy.

Tides will be high at 10:07 this morning and 11:57 this evening, and low at 5:42 this evening.

The sun sets at 6:15 this evening and rises at 5:22 Friday morning.

The outlook for Friday is for similar conditions to prevail.
