By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts continued sunny weather and hot temperatures with a chance of isolated thunderstorms developing our the Maya Mountains this afternoon. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy with only isolated showers.
High temperatures peak at 92 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 101 degrees Fahrenheit in inland areas and 86 degrees in the hills. Temperatures fall tonight to 80 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland and 66 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect as temperatures inland are expected to reach or exceed 97 degrees Fahrenheit. Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity especially during the afternoon hours.
Winds will be southeasterly at 10 to 15 knots producing moderate seas.
Tides will be high at 9:43 this morning and a quarter past eleven tonight and low at ten past five this evening. The sun rose at 5:26 this morning and sets at 6:13 this evening.
It will be warm on Sunday with isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms inland. Sunday night to be fair weather conditions prevailing with only isolated showers.
