Belize Weather: Temperatures warm today, cool down for Good Friday

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Warm conditions will prevail today ahead of a weak cold front that will cross the country this evening. Over the next 24 hours, according to the National Meteorological Service, skies will be cloudy at times with isolated showers mostly offshore. A few showers will affect mainly southern districts tonight. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible over the south tonight.

Average high temperatures forecast today will be 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 93 degrees in inland areas, and 80 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 75 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland, and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are northerly to northwesterly at 10 to 20 knots with higher gusts, and sea state is moderate to rough.

Tides will be high at 11:16 this morning and low at half past six this evening.

The sun sets at 6:05 this evening and rises at 5:50 on Friday morning.

Good Friday sees partly cloudy skies with little or no rain except for the chance of light isolated showers over the south Friday morning.
