Belize Weather: Sunny today but strong cold front on the way

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service says a strong cold front is approaching and conditions will turn extremely cold and windy, but stay mostly dry.

The 24-hour forecast is for sunny skies today with a few cloudy spells. Tonight, skies will be mostly clear and cold; showers, if any, will be isolated.

High temperatures will reach 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 81 degrees inland; and 72 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 62 degrees along the coast, 56 degrees inland and 52 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the west to northwest at 10 to 20 knots becoming northwesterly at 15 to 25 knots with higher gusts. Seastate will be moderate, becoming rough.

Tides will be high at 9:40 this morning and 8:53 this evening and low at 2:22 this afternoon. The sun sets at 5:47 this evening.

Sunday will be cold and windy with little to no rain.
