Belize weather: sunny skies mixed with cloudy spells and isolated thunderstorms

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can expect a mix of sunshine and unsettled weather today as a light but unstable easterly airflow prevails across the country. Morning showers and isolated thunderstorms will affect the north before shifting inland by the afternoon and evening. Later tonight, showers and storms are expected to redevelop along the coast and in southern areas, continuing into Saturday morning.

Seas will remain slight with light easterly winds of 5 to 10 knots and waves between one and three feet. Temperatures remain hot inland, peaking at 94 degrees Fahrenheit with nighttime lows of 74, while coastal areas will see highs of 89 and lows of 82. The hills remain cooler with highs near 82 degrees and lows of 68.

No tropical cyclone development is expected within the next 48 hours over the North Atlantic Basin.

For Saturday and Saturday night, conditions are expected to be cloudy at times with showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly affecting the south and coastal areas. High tides will occur at 6:38 a.m. and 7:49 p.m., with low tides at 1:51 p.m. today and 1:24 a.m. tomorrow. The sun rose at 5:43 a.m. and will set at 5:39 p.m., while the moon rose at 3:20 p.m. and will set at 2:12 a.m. tomorrow.
