By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts mostly sunny skies and warm conditions today, and clear to partly cloudy tonight. Little or no rainfall is expected. Seasonably warm and mostly dry weather will continue.
High temperatures today are forecasted at 90 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 97 degrees in inland areas and 85 degrees in the hills, with lows tonight around 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 70 degrees in inland areas, and 66 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect as temperatures inland are expected to reach or exceed 97 degrees Fahrenheit. Residents, especially those inland, are advised to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activity as much as possible, especially during the afternoon hours.
Winds are easterly to southerly at five to 15 knots, resulting in slight wave action.
Tides are high as of 8:03 this morning. The low tide follows at 3:26 this afternoon and a high tide at 9:49 this evening. The sun rose at 5:20 this morning and will set at 6:17 this evening.
For Saturday and Saturday night, mainly fair weather is expected to prevail, with isolated showers to develop mainly along coastal areas.
