By Breaking Belize News Staff: A frontal system to the north of the country is influencing our weather.
The National Meteorological Service forecasts sunny skies with cloudy intervals today becoming mostly cloudy tonight. A few showers or areas of rain and a chance for isolated thunderstorms will occur over the south this morning and spread along the coast and over northern areas by this afternoon, then activity will affect most places tonight.
Average temperatures forecast today will be 85 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 89 degrees inland and 77 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 76 degrees along the coast, 69 degrees inland and 65 degrees in the hills.
Winds will be northeasterly at 10 to 20 knots with higher gusts, and sea state starting moderate, becoming moderate to rough.
Tides will be low at 11:27 this morning and high tide follows at 5:24 this evening.
The sun sets at 5:17 this evening and rises at 6:09 Thursday morning.
Some showers, periods of rain and isolated thunderstorms will affect most places on Thursday, but especially central and southern areas. Then activity will move and linger mostly along the south coast and offshore by Thursday night.
