Belize Weather: Showers dot Saturday forecast

By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, moist and somewhat unstable conditions are expected to gradually set in during today.

The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies at times. A few showers or periods of light to moderate rain will affect mostly northern and some central areas today. Then, activity will spread along coastal areas tonight, along with isolated thunderstorms.

High temperatures today are forecasted at 81 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 84 degrees Fahrenheit in inland areas, and 73 degrees in the hills, with lows tonight around 71 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 65 degrees in inland areas, and 61 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the northeast at five to 15 knots, resulting in choppy seas.

Tides will be high at 10:00 a.m. and 9:03 p.m. and low at 2:46 this afternoon. The sun rose at 6:26 this morning and will set at 5:39 this evening.

Expect mostly cloudy skies with some showers or periods of rain with isolated thunderstorms expected around the country on Sunday, then mostly over central and southern areas on Sunday night.
