By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service is predicting relatively moist and unstable conditions to prevail over the area in the coming days. The 24-hour forecast indicates cloudy skies with a few showers and thunderstorms, predominantly affecting the southern regions in the morning and inland areas in the afternoon. Later tonight, the activity is expected to intensify, particularly in the south, accompanied by periods of rain.
Coastal areas can expect highs of 87 degrees Fahrenheit and lows of 83 degrees Fahrenheit, while inland regions may experience highs of 93 degrees Fahrenheit and lows of 72 degrees Fahrenheit. In the hills, temperatures are forecasted to reach 81 degrees Fahrenheit with lows of 68 degrees Fahrenheit.
Marine conditions are projected to feature easterly to northeasterly winds at 5-15 knots, leading to a slight to light chop in the sea state, with waves ranging from 1 to 4 feet.
Tides for today are scheduled as follows: low tide at 6:43 AM, high tide at 12:48 PM, and low tide again at 6:46 PM. The sunrise is set for 5:37 AM, with sunset at 6:12 PM.
Looking ahead, the outlook suggests mostly cloudy skies and anticipates showers, thunderstorms, and periods of rain throughout the country on Saturday, with a focus on central and northern areas. The weather is expected to gradually clear up and become isolated before redeveloping, mainly in the southern regions, on Saturday night.
